Covenant House New York's Vermont

On November 22, 2005, Covenant House New York held its Annual Vermont Thanksgiving at its Rights of Passage facility. This event marked the 18th year that a group of volunteers from Vermont traveled to New York City in order to provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to Covenant House’s youth. Early that morning, the volunteers along with the youth and staff of Covenant House attended the CBS Morning Show and met with Dave Price, CBS morning weatherman.

Covenant House youth received a pleasant surprise when RB Derrick Ward of the New York Giants, came and joined them for dinner. Derrick walked around from table to table, introducing himself, signing autographs, and getting a chance to know some of the youth. Overall the Vermont Thanksgiving was an exciting time for everyone.
