July 15-17, 2005 - The Jack Brewer Celebrity Weekend held in Minneapolis, MN

Jack Brewer hosted his fourth annual “Jack Brewer Celebrity Weekend” in Minneapolis. MN from July 15-17, 2005. A series of activities were scheduled throughout the weekend including the highlighted event, the Jack Brewer Charity Football Camp which was held at the Washburn High School.

Over 100 youth ranging in ages of 6 to 17 years old registered and participated in the day long football camp which included warm-up drills; conditioning exercises; and mock championship games between the assigned teams of youth. The coaching staff of each team consisted of an NFL player and a University of Minnesota Golden Gophers player.

Professional athlete participation for the football camp included Marion Barber (Dallas Cowboys); Michael Bennett (Minnesota Vikings); Patrick Chukwurah (Denver Broncos); Ron Johnson (Chicago Bears); Ukee Dozier (Tampa Bay Buccaneers); Darrell Reid (Indianapolis Colts); Tellis Redmon (Baltimore Ravens); and Moe Williams (Minnesota Vikings). Additional athletes included University of Minnesota Golden Gophers players Bryan Cupito; Jared Ellerson; Jamal Harris; Laurence Maroney (Heisman Candidate); Amir Pinnix; Justin Valentine; and Ernest Wheelwright.

The weekend activities which also included the JB Live Wire Car Show and the Jack Brewer Celebrity Fishing Tournament at Lake City, MN, were sponsored by Rochester Lapidary Jewelers, Live Wire Clothing; JB Live Wire; JBE Sports; Careerbuilder.com; Athletes for Charity, Inc. and KFAN. Proceeds raised during the weekend benefited Minnesota youth and the Shriner’s Hospital.
