KNICKS BASKETBALL CLINIC @ HSSM

On Saturday, May 7th, Athletes for Charity teamed up with the NY Knicks to host a basketball clinic at the High School of Sports Management in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The clinic consisted of a panel discussion, fundamental drills and competitions such as team shooting contests, relay races, knockouts, hot shot and spot shooting contests. Prevailing groups or individuals were awarded various prizes for their accomplishments.

Nearly 100 students took part in the event which not only exercised their bodies but their minds as well. The spot shooting contest was only made available to students with 80 and above averages to vie for prizes ranging from $100 Amex gift cards to a Powerade book bag filled with goodies and EA Sports video games.

Product donations for the event were received from Powerade, ZICO Coconut Water, popchips, Pretzel Crisps, adidas, NBA Cares, and the NY Knicks.
